Furniture is transported by sea to Australia.

Challenge:

The furniture is in unassembled condition and needs to be protected from moisture and deformation. Additionally, some of the wood is subject to quarantine restrictions in Australia.

The Port of Sydney requires IPPC fumigation certification for wooden packaging materials such as pallets.

The customer requests that the goods be directly delivered to 15 different construction sites upon arrival at the port.

Solution:

Special drying container: The humidity inside the container is controlled at 45% - 55%, and the surface of the furniture is covered with moisture-proof film.

Full quarantine compliance: Provide wood species declaration, fumigation certificate and Australian AQIS registration number.

Distribution and delivery system: After arrival at the port, the containers are split according to the construction site addresses, and local fleets are used to achieve "full coverage delivery within one week".

Achievements:

The goods passed the quarantine inspection at the port on the first attempt, with no returns or claims.

The distribution cost was reduced by 30% compared to the customer's expectation, and the project party added an urgent order of 200 sets.

Drive customers to establish distribution warehouses in Melbourne and Brisbane.
